The Elements of Creativity

The Origins of

Restore Peace Coaching & Art Retreats

Nicole Weston's Transformation Journey: Healing Through Art & Nature

There was a time when Nicole felt like she was losing herself.

Her daughter was struggling—a deep and painful mental health crisis that no parent is ever truly prepared for. The nights stretched long, filled with worry, exhaustion, and questions without answers. The weight of it all was suffocating. How do you hold space for someone you love when you don’t even know if they’ll make it through? How do you stay strong when every part of you feels like it’s unraveling?

Nicole did what most parents do—she fought, she researched, she advocated. But in the midst of it all, she realized something crucial: she had forgotten herself. The fear, the grief, the uncertainty—it consumed her. She needed a way to process it, to find her own footing again, to remember who she was beyond the chaos.

And then, she felt the call.

The Mountains & the Canvas: A Path Back to Herself

It started as an undeniable pull—an urge to paint a mountain. She didn’t know why, only that something inside her needed to see that strength on the canvas. As she painted, something stirred deep within her—a recognition, a remembering. She saw herself in that mountain. Solid. Immovable. Still standing, despite the storms.

But painting it wasn’t enough. She needed to be with the mountains.

So, she went to them. She hiked. She climbed. She felt the steady, grounding presence of the earth beneath her feet, the quiet wisdom of the wind whispering through the trees. With every step, she released the weight she had been carrying—the fear, the helplessness, the belief that she had to hold everything together.

The mountains didn’t ask her to fix anything. They simply reminded her that she was strong enough to endure.

Turning Pain into Purpose

Through painting and nature, Nicole found clarity. She didn’t have to control everything. She didn’t have to have all the answers. She could be present, she could trust, she could allow herself to feel without being consumed by it.

She could still be whole, even in the storm.

This journey didn’t just bring her back to herself—it gave her a new purpose. She saw how powerful art and nature were in transforming pain into wisdom, fear into empowerment. She realized that what helped her could help others—especially those navigating their own overwhelming realities.

And so, Restore Peace Coaching & Art Retreats was born.

It became more than a business—it became a movement. A space where people could come as they are, release what weighs them down, and reconnect with their inner truth through creativity and the natural world.

An Invitation to Transformation

Nicole’s journey is proof that healing doesn’t come from fixing—it comes from feeling. It comes from allowing ourselves to be fully present with our experience and finding new ways to express it.

If you’ve ever felt lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, she invites you to step into this journey with her. To paint, to hike, to let the elements guide you back to your own wisdom.

Because transformation isn’t about changing who you are.
It’s about remembering who you’ve been all along.
